VIDEO 10. Dance Therapy
Dance therapy can consist of dance-based movements involving upper extremity flexion, extension, forearm pronation, and supination accompanied by music. Additionally, arm swings, rhythmic movements with stepping, lower extremity motions, and forward-backward movements can be incorporated to enhance weight transfer and increase muscle strength around the knee, ankle, and hip.
Warm-up and cool-down periods can be augmented with stretching exercises for neck muscles, posterior-anterior shoulder capsule, trunk extensors, hamstring, and gastrocnemius muscles, combined with breathing exercises (Music: Chama Wijnen – Reaching and Michael Kiwanuka – Cold Little Heart).
