  • Familiarity with the method of palpating anatomical structures that serve as reference points in assessing the respiratory pattern;
  • Ability to determine the position of structures in the chest, with particular emphasis on the diaphragm;
  • Skill in assessing the respiratory pattern in the transition area between the upper chest and neck, as well as between the abdominal cavity and the chest;
  • Knowledge of symptoms resulting from diaphragm dysfunction;

Proficiency in performing selected techniques to relax the domes of the diaphragm.
