VIDEO 8. Hip Marches

“The Hip March exercise is commonly considered as a fitness routine applicable to the process of healthy aging. This exercise is designed to strengthen the hip and lower extremity muscles, enhance coordination, and improve balance. The typical steps involved in the Hip March exercise include:

  • Stand in an upright position with feet shoulder-width apart.
  • Lift each leg upward sequentially, performing a hip flexion movement.
  • Lower the legs slowly to return to the starting position.
  • Repeat the same movement with the other leg.

The Hip March exercise can be effective in increasing lower extremity muscle strength. However, a physiotherapist should take into consideration the individual’s overall health, mobility, and specific requirements when prescribing this exercise.”
