VIDEO 15. Dead Bug Excercise
Dead Bug exercise is an exercise that exercises pelvic floor muscles, erector spinae muscles, multifidus, transverse abdominus, rectus abdominus, and internal and external obliques. It can be applied in patients with low back pain after pregnancy by providing core stabilization as well as muscle strengthening.
The patient lies supine on the mat with knees flexed. Raises both legs to the table position (knees and hips 90 degrees flexed), maintaining the natural curve of the spine. Raise both arms so that they are both facing directly towards the ceiling. Maintaining a neutral spine, extending the right leg forward and, at the same time, raising the left arm above the head in a controlled manner. Returns the arm and leg to the starting position. Repeats the same movement on the other side.
